The Trauma Research and Combat Casualty Care Collaborative (TRC4) is a research entity singularly focused on addressing the critical need for improved trauma care in the United States. The unique collaboration, established by the UT Board of Regents and funded in part by Texas lawmakers, will operate out of UT Health San Antonio and serve all UT academic and health institutions.

Initial Collaborative Partners: University of Texas System and the Department of Defense

Despite its prevalence, trauma receives disproportionately less funding. Trauma injuries are the primary cause of mortality and permanent disability among individuals under 44 years of age.

Based at UT Health San Antonio and Partnered with UT System Institutions

TRC4 serves as a unique collaborative entity seeking to catalyze transformative research efforts into trauma care.

27th Annual Surgery Research Forum

This annual event lets faculty, fellows, residents, students and staff share their research and will include guest speaker Kathie-Ann Joseph, M.D., who is a Professor of Surgery and a Vice Chair for Diversity and Health Equity at New York University. CME credits available.
