Good afternoon Main Street Family,

The City of Bastrop's next quarterly stakeholder meeting is on Monday, March 21st at 5:30pm at the Lost Pines Art Center located at 1204 Chestnut Street. These meetings are an opportunity to engage in community-wide conversations and network on how to collaborate and support events in Bastrop.

We are excited to welcome Amy Miller, Director of Community Services for the City of Elgin, as our guest speaker for this meeting. Amy Miller holds a Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Public Administration degrees from the University of North Texas. During her twenty-five years of service with municipalities, Amy has worked for the Cities of Dallas, Colleyville, and Fort Worth in Mayor’s office, city administration, economic development, human resources, parks & recreation, historic preservation, downtown development, and community development. Amy is instrumental in producing Elgin’s HOGEYE Festival.

We are inviting our Main Street family along with our local special event planners to come hear about the history of this great event and learn how this event has grown to become one of the most popular events in Central Texas. Lost Pines Art Center will also speak about its programs and events. Please feel free to bring a guest.

Together, we can maintain and enhance our historic community feel by leveraging the unique combination of community, cultural, and recreational assets that make Bastrop a special place to live and work.

I look forward to seeing you at the quarterly stakeholder meeting!

Thank you,

Candice Butts
