Did you know that miSecureMessages is celebrating 10 years in 2021?

miSecureMessages was built specifically to deliver HIPAA compliant text messages, and meets the strict HIPAA & HITECH privacy and security standards of the healthcare industry. However, many industries outside of the healthcare sector have also found miSecureMessages to be a valuable encrypted messenger solution as well.

miSecureMessages’ 10th anniversary is occurring during unprecedented times. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the considerable importance of maintaining personal space while communicating with co-workers.


In a few months, miSecureMessages will release a highly anticipated update to version 6.8. New capabilities such as single sign-on (SSO), as well as enhanced app performance and additional integration capabilities will be included in the update.

Park Ridge Answering Service
Park Ridge Answering Service is a family run business that has been operating since 1970. They have maintained a hands-on philosophy to providing a high level of service to their customers. The business started with a 24-line telephone system, which later was upgraded to PBX cordboards handling up to 100 telephone numbers. Today they utilize Amtelco's Infinity call management system. Over time, they have gained a unique amount of experience servicing a large variety of customers.

miSecureMessages Android App 6.7.4.0
Version 6.7.4.0 of the miSecureMessages (MSM) Android App has passed Amtelco quality assurance testing and will be released soon.

This version of the Android App implements various fixes and improvements made in this and interim versions, including:

  • Now creating all Notification Channels at the initial app startup.
  • Added support for shared devices (coming in MSM Version 6.8).
  • Added MsmSpectrumLink.java for linking Spectrum phone numbers with access code inside MSM messages.
  • Added support for "Max Contacts Per Thread."

miSecureMessages Tips
Question: Is there any way to control the persistent alert? It’s set at 30-second intervals. That’s too quick and I don’t like the ring tone.

Android User Answer: To change your Alert Interval, touch Alert Interval. The Edit Alert Interval dialog box is displayed. Select the number of minutes and seconds to wait between Persistent Alert notifications. The input will accept values from 15 seconds to 10 minutes. Touch SAVE.

  • To change your high priority sounds, touch Normal Priority Sound so the Sound Menu is displayed.
  • Touch the name of the ring tone that you want to use for high priority secure message notifications. A sample of the ring tone is played.
  • To disable notification sounds for high priority secure messages, touch Silent.

Apple User Answer: To change the amount of time to wait between Persistent Alert notifications, tap Notifications. To change the interval between Persistent Alert notifications, tap the Time Between Notifications field. Use the number wheel to select the number of minutes and seconds to wait between notifications. This input will accept values from 15 seconds to 98 minutes 59 seconds. Tap Update. Tap the Back arrow (<) to return to the User Settings Screen.

  • To change your ring tone for high priority secure message notifications, tap High Priority.
  • A checkmark will be displayed to the right of the current ring tone for high priority secure message notifications.
  • Tap the name of the ring tone that you want to use for high priority secure message notifications.
  • When you tap a ring tone, a sample of the ring tone is played.
  • When you have finished selecting ring tones, tap the Back arrow (<) to return to the User Settings Screen.
