Donate gently used or new coats and outerware for men, women and children

"The group we annually give Xmas coats to is the Adelante program here in Santa Fe. They provide services for children, teens and their families experiencing homelessness here in SF. They told me that this year they are especially desperate for children's coats especially for boys (but not to forget the girls) as parents have lost their jobs and more and more are living in cars or some form of homelessness. So WARM coats are real important for these children. They hope to get our usual 35 & I hope we can get to 40 coats or beyond even!
In the past we have been given names of children/teens & then picked our names & bought & wrapped the coats. But with Covid it is obviously changed. So it will feel "less personal" without the child's name to go by, but it's what we have to forgo this year, as they only have one staff member there & no Xmas party for the kids this year. But as they said..... they have tons of people coming to their door asking for winter coats! Without having to wrap & tag them, I think it actually makes it a lot easier for most of us.
They will also take clean, slightly used coats this year too, but prefer new.
BOYS COAT SIZES: Size 6 to 16
GIRLS COAT SIZES: Sizes Small to Extra Large
Gloves and hats are optional.
No Store Gift Cards to be given this year.

Just to know...... Most new, heavier winter coats can cost from $40-$70 (for large sizes) So please make your checks for $40 or above & I'll need your checks by Dec 1st.
To Deliver them to me: Bring the unwrapped coats to the Unity Parking Lot on Friday Dec 11th from 2:00-4:00 OR Saturday, Dec 12th from 9:00am to 12:00pm, where I will be with my car and you can give them to me at that time & I will deliver them on Monday, Dec 14th. I will have NO LIST of Unity members names to go by this year unfortunately, so I will only know on Sat after 12:00pm if I need to go buy some more coats, but I certainly will if I have to.
