A large 8 foot by 8 foot drawing of our vision of what the new Calafian Seal of California might look like will be erected in the center of Boeddeker Park and painted live by local artists in real time. Zumani the Artist and team will free-form paint a tracing of the new Seal of California.
Why Queen Calafia should be on
The Great Seal Of California


There is one woman without whom
California would not exist.


The Citizens of California know their state's name.

But few know where the name California came from, and fewer still know that it is named after a mythic Black Amazon Warrior Queen.

Queen Calafia has returned to California to reintroduce herself to the people of California and as part of this endeavor she is proposing that the Seal of California be corrected to bear her regal likeness (as it should).
