QUEEN CREEK SEEKS DEVELOPER

RFP No. 23-005 includes three sites for a total of approximately two acres, which are zoned C-2 (commercial zoning). The RFP is for the sale or ground lease and development of land for office, medical office and / or low-intensity commercial uses – the Town will not consider development based upon non-commercial uses.

The RFP is available on the Town’s website, QueenCreekAZ.gov. Proposals (electronic submittals only) are due by 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, 2022.

APPOINTMENT OF SHANE RANDALL TO GREATER PHOENIX ECONOMIC COUNCIL BOARD

We are happy to announce that Shane Randall, a Queen Creek resident and Executive Vice President/Business Banking Officer at Western Banks, was appointed by the Vice Mayor and Council to represent the Town on the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) Board of Directors at the August 17 Town Council meeting. Shane has been an active member of the Economic Development Commission (EDC) since December 2014, and prior to the EDC Shane served on the Town Center Committee. Shane will continue to serve on the EDC as a non-voting member as the GPEC Board liaison. As a Board member Shane will work with other directors to ensure effective organizational strategic planning and assess GPEC’s performance. GPEC directors are also encouraged to participate on leadership councils, partake in the Ambassador program, and attend GPEC hosted events.

Thank you to Shane for his continued service and interest in economic development issues for both the Town and the region.

JENNIFER LINDLEY RECOGNIZED IN THE PHOENIX BUSINESS JOURNAL'S 40 UNDER 40 FOR 2022

Jennifer Lindley, Downtown Development Manager for the Town, was recently recognized in the Phoenix Business Journal's 40 under 40 for 2022.

This honor is well deserved as Jenn works tirelessly to champion downtowns through her work in Queen Creek, and as part of the International Downtown Association, and locally through AZDowntowns, a statewide organization that Jenn co-founded. Jennifer also serves as the current Secretary/Treasurer on the Arizona Association for Economic Development's Board of Directors.

Jenn is a mom to two young boys, but still finds time to volunteer with local non-profits. She was awarded the United Food Bank Spirit of Philanthropy Award, bestowed upon individuals whose passion for supporting the community is exemplified by their leadership, generosity and commitment to their mission to fight hunger, and she also serves on the non-profit Board of Directors for "Neighbors Who Care" an organization serving homebound seniors.
