Cities were ranked based on nine metrics measuring financial, social and convenience factors. You can read more about the findings here. WHATS HAPPENING IN DOWNTOWN QUEEN CREEK?

The Downtown Core extends from south of the Communiversity along Ellsworth Road to the Queen Creek Wash, and is bound on the west side by Ellsworth Loop Road. The focus of this area is to create a vibrant, active district in the heart of the Town Center that complements the culture and heritage of the community and provides a range of venues that celebrate all that is unique to Queen Creek.

Earlier this year, the Town of Queen Creek broke ground on three roadway connectors in the downtown core. Aldecoa Drive and Munoz Street will both connect from Ellsworth Road to Ellsworth Loop, and Summers Place will connect from Aldecoa to Munoz. MEET QUAIL & CACTUS - KNOWN AS "Q&C"

Quail and Cactus made their debut as part of the Town’s 25^th anniversary in 2014. The icons were created to represent Queen Creek’s rich heritage and bright future. Recently, the Town of Queen Creek’s Downtown Arts & Placemaking Sub Advisory Committee commissioned these 3D printed, life-size statutes and worked with a local company, Magnetic Pigeon Head, that works out of Gangplank Queen Creek. Q&C were made out of 3D printing filament which uses a process of heating, extruding and cooling plastic to create the finished product.

Quail weighs 10 pounds with .9 miles of filament.
Cactus weights 23 pounds with 2.14 miles of filament.
It took 296 hours of printing time using 3D printers to create “Q&C.”

QUEEN CREEK SEEKING VENDORS FOR UPCOMING SIGNATURE EVENTS

While the summer heat is in full swing, the Town is already preparing for an exciting lineup of fall events. Residents, businesses and organizations are invited to participate in the fun by hosting a booth, sponsoring, or volunteering. The 2023/2024 special event applications are now digital! Reserve a vendor, entertainment, carnival booth or trunk space at QueenCreekAZ.gov/RecRegistration today. Vendor fees vary based on booth type; a discount is available for businesses and organizations that register for all three events – the deadline for the multi-event discount is July 26, 2023. All booth spaces are 10 ft. by 10 ft.; vendors are responsible for their own supplies and equipment.
