Clearing Space for God: A Lenten Conversation Series

First meeting tonight at 6:30, Leffler Living Room, and every Friday through March 22.

All are welcome to join us this Lent for a Conversation series called Clearing Space for God, designed with queer people in mind. You do not need to register, either join us in Leffler Living Room, or via the Zoom link below!

Join James Davidson and Michael Seewer each Friday evening in Lent as we explore and share sacred stories that celebrate otherness. We'll dig into these stories and discuss how they and we celebrate our special gifts as queer people, and reflect on how we move forward in the process of clearing space for God in our daily lives.

Interested in joining by Zoom? Click here to join via Zoom (meeting ID 854 1664 8917; passcode 569378). And click here to download the booklet. Questions? Contact Michael Seewer (mseewer@saintmarks.org).

Queer Conversations

Next event on Sunday, March 3 at 5:30pm in Leffler Living Room

At the next Queer Conversation, we will be joined by The Rev. Canon Linzi Stahlecker, discussing grief, particularly how we as queer people experience it and live with it as part of our daily lives. We will have refreshments starting at 5:30, and the conversation will start about 5:45. If you'd prefer to join us via Zoom, email Michael Seewer (mseewer@saintmarks.org) for the Zoom link!

Looking forward: at the April 4 Queer Conversation, the topic will be Queering Climate Activism. We will be joined by the Reverend Lisa Graumlich, former Saint Mark's parishioner and recently ordained deacon, now serving at Trinity Parish, First Hill.

Resources from February Queer Conversation: Many thanks to Michael Garrett for leading the informative and thoughtful discussion on Queer Healthcare earlier this month! He has made the information available to share. Click here for the PowerPoint that was used, and click here for the document of healthcare resources.

Pride Month Planning Group

Pride month will be here before you can say "Work it, gurrrrrl!" We are already starting to think about activities and events, and will need people willing to help lead and coordinate things to join our discussions! Are you interested in helping? Please email Michael Seewer (mseewer@saintmarks.org) with subject PRIDE HELP and let me know!

Saint Mark’s Cathedral acknowledges that we gather on the traditional land of the first people of Seattle, the Duwamish People, who are still here, and we honor with gratitude the land itself and the life of all the Coast Salish tribes. [Learn more]
