Isasuma
Isasuma, which also has a location at 441 Northampton Street, will be joining us this week, selling unique bags, clutches, earrings, bracelets, rings, necklaces and shoes produced by Colombian artisans. Isasuma’s mission is to support and empower small at-risk artisan communities. They travel and work directly with a small group of entrepreneurial indigenous artisans and small shops in Latin America.

This fun, energetic and diverse Latin band brings with them beautiful vocals, a rhythmic percussion line, and a Cuatro Puertorriqueño/ Guitar combo that provide soul filling melodies. Fall crops are emerging at Cabbage Throw Farm. The first winter squash, purple daikon radish, bunched beets and gem romaine are ready for harvest! It’s time to merge the flavors of summer and fall and make spaghetti squash pasta with fresh tomatoes. Additional produce includes tomatoes, eggplant, sweet & hot peppers, frying peppers, carrots, cabbage, microgreens, Bok choy, amaranth, herbs, garlic, shallots, onions and organic pears from Comeback Farm.

It’s the last week for Concord Grapes at Phillips Farms! These robust-flavored grapes are one of the most requested of the season. They are perfect for making grape jelly, grape juice and simply snacking.  Other items you’ll find at Phillips Farms: Apple Cider, Seedless Grapes, Peaches, Nectarines, Melons, Asian Pears, Apples (including Honeycrisp, Gala, Gingergold and Autumn Crisp), broccoli, corn, Jersey tomatoes, green beans, cucumbers, eggplant, peppers, zucchini, carrots, kale, beets, onions, garlic and more. And don’t forget to pick up your fresh Eucalyptus bunches!

Roots are Back!
The temperatures are cooling down and parsley, beets and hakurei turnips are back this week at Salvaterra's. You find some fresh carrots too!

The full line-up includes lettuce mix, arugula, tuscan green and red kale, collards, chard, red and green leaf, scallions, dill, cilantro, slicing tomatoes (red and yellow), cherry tomatoes, cocktail tomatoes, zucchini, celery, leeks, eggplant, green beans, basil, bell peppers, sweet Italian horn peppers, hot peppers (jalapeño and poblano), apples, pears, radishes and green cabbage.

It’s the time of the year when summer and fall collide. The Scholl Orchard crew is still picking peaches, while apples are in full swing. There are many apple varieties to choose from now and the crew is pressing cider fresh weekly. Meanwhile there are plenty of melons, tomatoes, zucchini and cucumbers. And the first winter squash makes an appearance this week too!

It's going to be dahlias galore at EFM this Saturday! September is the peak of dahlia season, and Holy Cow Flower Farm has been hard at work harvesting from their 1,000 dahlia plants. Their dahlias will be appearing in farm fresh bouquets, bunches, and premium bouquets alongside lisianthus, sunflowers, and zinnias. Be sure to stop by and check out these beautiful blooms this Saturday.

Their Queso Chicken Burrito Strudel is exactly what it sounds like…a 16” burrito! Slow roasted chicken, homemade Queso, black beans, rice, jalapeño, and red onion - delish!

In the words of two-time defending champ Kelly Joel Meyer (#watchmeburn), this will be the best event yet!

We have Kris J Fragale the American Belt Champion from the League Of Fire joining us this year. He holds multiple world records. Can Kelly slay the Dragon?
And let’s not forget Charles S Brennan. This will be his 2nd time joining us and he has won several Pepper Eating Contest. One in Bowers, PA where he beat Kris and one in Berks, PA where he beat Kelly. And then there's Matthew Leto, last year's runner-up! Get ready for some fierce competition and sizzling entertainment with lots of sweat and tears and fun trivia prizes for the audience.

All the contest's hot peppers are locally grown and provided by Easton Urban Farm.
