Here are some of the stories we are following this week. Connect with us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for up-to-the-minute news.
-
Colorado Springs City Councilman Dave Donelson wants answers from the Mayor’s Chief of Staff regarding Mayor Mobolade’s connections and conversations with the criminals who perpetrated a fake racism incident in order to promote the mayor’s election. He’s calling on the Mayor to address this allegation head-on. Others around the state are demanding answers too.
-
Councilman Donelson has penned an op-ed, specifically detailing his concern with this issue. Why did Mayor Mobolade deny to the FBI that he had contact with the perpetrator of this fake racist crime when his text messages prove otherwise? Also, why is the mayor still claiming he, and his family, were victims of a “hate crime” when the entire event was proven to be a hoax?
-
Mayor Mobolade still maintains that he had no knowledge of this fake racist incident, and also stated that he cooperated fully in the investigation. He also took time to disparage the report that indicated he was aware and, potentially, involved in this incident while running for Mayor of Colorado Springs.
-
Could the Department of Justice eventually get involved in Mayor Mobolade’s potential connection to this staged racist incident scandal? The number of people calling for Mayor Mobolade to directly address the question of whether or not he lied to the FBI is growing.
-
The government-funded vagrant scam in Denver has lost $150 million in taxpayer money. They cannot account for it, so, too bad for taxpayers. What would happen if this was you losing track of income and the IRS found out? We wonder if it was actually lost, or really just stolen by the vast list of non-profits and non-governmental organizations that capitalize on the vagrant industrial complex.
-
Colorado republican legislators are speaking out about the illegal immigrant problems in Denver. So far, supporting Mayor Mike Johnston’s illegal immigrants has absorbed 8% of Denver’s budget, which adds up to $7900 per illegal immigrant. Clearly, this is unsustainable, and maybe that’s the point of the effort.
-
One Denver city staffer is suing the mayor’s office, stating that she was unfairly treated and passed over for promotion because she supported a mayoral candidate who was not named Mike Johnston.
-
Also in Denver news this week, taxpayer money has been spent to upgrade schools that have a high potential of being closed in the near future due to lack of students. Tell us more about the tragedy of our underfunded schools, government bureaucrats.
-
Apartment complexes in Colorado Springs are offering big incentives for new residents. However, new apartment complexes continue to be built. Is there really a housing shortage if complex managers need to conduct giveaways in order to get people to live there?
-
Colorado Democrats have invented a new anti-democratic scam. They deliberately run electable candidates for office, and then, once elected, those candidates immediately resign so that a party vacancy committee can appoint the radical activists the party really wanted in these seats in the first place.
-
Crime tourism from illegal aliens is becoming a new challenge in Colorado. Now, we have this to look forward to.
-
Colorado has set a new record for fentanyl seizures. So far in 2024, 2.7 million fentanyl pills have been seized. How many were not seized?
-
Colorado Springs City Councilman Donelson is calling for a re-vote on the issue of closing the Rockrimmon Library. Residents claim they were blindsided by the decision to close the branch permanently. Councilman Donelson is also asking for Pikes Peak Library District Board Members to be vetted more thoroughly.
-
UPDATE: The Pikes Peak Library District has reaffirmed its decision to close the Rockrimmon Library.
-
Representative Lauren Boebert is under fire for using a personal video message service to raise money. Should those who hold public office be able to market themselves via this tacky medium to fill their personal bank accounts? What do you think about it?
-
Increasingly frequent, and bizarre, encounters with vagrants are becoming the norm in Boulder, Colorado. When you reward uncivilized behavior, you tend to get more of it.
-
If you’ve been catching the Bustang bus at the Tejon Street park and ride, you won’t be able to anymore. Safety concerns, caused largely by vagrants, are causing the stoppage of services there. When you reward uncivilized behavior, you tend to get more of it.
-
Also in Colorado Springs vagrant news this week, you will be paying for two additional Homeless Outreach Team officers to deal with the fallout from rewarding uncivilized behavior in society. It is reported that fires, homicides, and illegal drugs are commonly found in these homeless camps.
-
In Pueblo, Colorado, some nonprofits are being shut out from receiving taxpayer funds. The river of taxpayer money isn’t endless, folks. Maybe the City of Colorado Springs and other cities could try this technique.
-
In Colorado Springs, 911 emergency call response times continue to deteriorate. Response times for emergency calls have doubled since last January. What if we used all the taxpayer resources being used for vagrants and illegals to address this important issue?
-
