The number one question from the Lab Design Conference
SelecTech exhibited at the Lab Design Conference in Philadelphia last month. Visitors to our booth had a number of questions. The most commonly asked?:
How do I know if my lab needs ESD flooring?
The answer really depends on what you are doing in your lab, the equipment being used, the types of processes being conducted.
For example, if in your lab you assemble medical devices, you may need an ESD flooring.
There are some circumstances where you may need static control in your lab, but ESD flooring might not solve the issue.
Architects made up most of the visitors to the SelecTech booth, followed by lab designers. Architects had the most question as they’re the ones drawing up the specs for labs. Many times, they are not in close coordination with the lab managers. That’s where we come in.
Whether you’re an architect or lab designer and need an answer to the question: Do I need ESD flooring in my lab or for my client?”, drop us a line or give us a call at 508-583-3200.
