Pastor Cassie is no stranger to the Eastern North Dakota Synod. As she comes into this new role, Pastor Cassie will bring her experience and leadership in the synod as well as her many gifts, including gifts around invitation, generosity, and imagination.
-----
Pastor Cassie Anderson grew up on a dairy farm in southeast Minnesota. Her faith was deeply shaped by the country church she was raised in just two miles from the farm, as well as at Good Earth Village Bible Camp and Augustana College Campus Ministry. After graduating from Luther Seminary and being ordained in 2011, Pastor Cassie served congregations in Sparta, WI, Perham, MN, and Fargo, ND. Pastor Cassie’s husband, Jake, is the pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN. Pastors Cassie & Jake have 4 kids from Kindergarten through High School.
She loves travel adventures, concerts, and Friday homemade pizza nights. Pastor Cassie’s favorite Bible story comes from Exodus when God tells Moses to take off his sandals, because he is standing on Holy Ground. She loves helping people find the Holiness in the Ground upon which they are already standing. Pastor Cassie’s favorite social activity is playing "Connections", and she is so looking forward to journeying with folks in the Eastern North Dakota Synod as they uncover and deepen our shared Connections for the sake of the Gospel.
-------------
Pastor Cassie will join the synod team on November 16th. The Director for Evangelical Mission (DEM) serves as part of the leadership team of the Office of the Bishop and stewards ministries related to vitality, ministries among diverse communities and cultures, mission support & stewardship, and ongoing congregational and rostered minister support. This position is funded primarily by churchwide and is an expression of our interconnectedness as a church.
Please join me in welcoming Pastor Cassie to the team.
Grace and Peace,
