It must be phishing season. It has been brought to our attention that some members have received phishing emails from scammers pretending to be Catherine Castro from the Guam Chamber of Commerce. The message also references MyMail. If you received this email, please report the message as "spam" or "junk".
We recommend that you take the following precautions as you receive emails:
- Confirm the sender's identity before opening the message or any attachments. Sometimes the message may look legitimate but may have incorrect spelling or be from a different email source;
- If you have an IT department, consult with them about any phishing attempts;
- Feel free to call the Guam Chamber office to confirm or validate an email that you are unsure came from the Chamber.
We truly apologize to those who have received this fraudulent email.

President Biden Proposes $537 Million in the FY 2024 Budget for U.S. Territories and the Freely Associated States
The Biden-Harris administration today released the President’s Budget for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024. The President’s budget includes $537 million in funding for the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Office of Insular Affairs (OIA). The proposal would fund initiatives benefitting fellow Americans in the U.S. territories of American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands and support certain programs for the freely associated states: the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI), and the Republic of Palau. Veterans of Foreign Wars BBQ/Potluck at Ypao Park

Your Veterans of Foreign Wars will be hosting its 4th Annual 4th of July BBQ/Potluck at Ypao this year. The event will be open to all veterans, family, and friends as well as the Guard and Reservist Families.
VFW is looking for either food or a cash donation. Anything that you can donate will be greatly appreciated. Food donations must be at the main pavilion by 10:45 am. Checks can be made payable to VFW Post 2917. The deadline for all donations will be on Sunday, June 25, 2023.
