Housing First makes housing last.
Housing Heroes
That person who helps others simply because it should or must be done, and because it is the right thing to do, is indeed without a doubt, a real superhero." -- Stan Lee

'Tis the season! Our annual campaign this year is "Be a Housing Hero," and we're hoping that you'll suit up and join us this holiday season!
Housing our Veterans
A coordinated effort led by Tarrant County Homeless Coalition and involving a dozen local organizations including the DRC was started in the fall with the goal of placing 100 veterans experiencing homelessness into housing.

After 11 weeks, 131 Veterans have found a place to call home!

We are honored to work with partner agencies across Tarrant County to honor our veterans and ensure they are home for the holidays.
You're Invited!

A Home for the Holidays
DRC recently had the privilege to work with a sweet family of dad, mom, toddler, and one-on-the-way who have been struggling to find affordable housing. Like many Americans who are "invisibly homeless," they were staying with family, couch-surfing in an increasingly unsustainable situation. The family soon found themselves at the DRC-managed overflow shelter at Broadway Baptist Church, with limited income and no idea where to turn.

Your DRC team sprang into action! An experienced case manager connected them with an income-based property, accompanying the family to the complex to complete the application process. They were approved! Because of your support, the DRC was able to cover the application and deposit fees and settle this family into their new home. Your generosity and kindness made it possible for this sweet family to make it home for the holidays! THANK YOU!
Congratulations!

November was a big month for ladies associated with the DRC!

Welcome!
Please join the DRC in welcoming Rabbi Andrew Bloom to our Board of Directors.
