The Nixa community has rallied around SCORE for many years by volunteering their time and money for the betterment of the students. From waking up early to help make breakfast, to sponsoring a pizza lunch, and even creating a scholarship like Bob Childers of  Eagle Pride Automotive  has done, the students and staff say THANK YOU!

The Nixa High School Band is hosting it's first mattress fundraiser on Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at North Point Church in Nixa. 2019-20 Kindergarten Registration and Screening Information
Kindergarten Registration:  Registration will be held at the Registration Center, located at 308 S. Little Eagle Dr.,  Monday, March 25-Friday, April 5 . Registration is for kindergarten students that will be five years old on or before July 31, 2019. If your child is a current ELC or ECC student at Nixa Public Schools, you do not need to attend kindergarten registration.

Kindergarten Screening:  All students that will be attending kindergarten on August 13, 2019 including current ELC and ECC preschool students will rotate through various activity stations with their peers. Dates for this screening will be available at nixakindergarten.net  at the beginning of March.

Nixa High School Theatre Presents The Addams Family
Tickets are on sale now for NHS Theatre's musical comedy The Addams Family. Show times are at 7 p.m. on April 4, 5, and 6 . Get your tickets now at nixatheatre.net.
Nixa Robotics Expo
On April 6 from 9 a.m. to noon the Nixa Eagle Robotics team will be having an expo with FLL and FLL jr. team demonstrations as well as a Lego raffle, games and more all in the Mathews Elementary FEMA gym. Concessions are available.
Nixa High School Students Receive the Seal of Biliteracy
The world language department administered the Assessment of Performance toward Proficiency in Languages ( AAPPL) test for students that were trying to receive the Seal of Biliteracy. This program gives students the chance to earn up to 16 free college credits in second language. The primary requirements were to be proficient or advanced on the English II EOC and intermediate-mid in their second language on the AAPL test which included speaking, reading, writing, and listening categories. Congratulations to the following Spanish Seal of Biliteracy students, David Holgerson, Taylor Fleetwood, Skye Holder, Jaqueline Estes, Emily Smith, Susan Steensland, Saiah Allen, Gabe Keckler, Riley Krummen, Tanner Palmer, Landon Stephen, and Amanda Obeso. Congratulations to French Seal of Biliteracy recipient, Sarah Smith.
NHS Junior Selected as One of the 2019 Rural Electric Youth Tour Delegates
Kylie St. John has been selected by Ozark Electric Cooperative to take a trip to Washington D.C. this summer for the 2019 Rural Electric Youth Tour. Kylie was one of two finalists out of over 50 applicants and had to write an essay and participated in an interview process. Kylie will join 1,400 other juniors, also sent from cooperatives across the country, to learn about our nation's government, history and their place in our nation's future.   Congratulations!
