Happy Summer! Given that you are a subscriber to this newsletter you know how important it is to get the word out about the current leaf blower ban. Now is the time to encourage everyone you know in Portland continue to use the force to enforce the ban.

Use the Force!
Go to this page to report the use of a gas-powered leaf blower in Portland. - Tell a Friend. Make a poster and put it up in a coffee shop. Post the link on Nextdoor.com. Help us get the word out. We are the outreach and education effort for this issue right now. Let's get to work.

Here (and below) are a couple photos from the recent Ecobiz landscaper training where businesses learned about the benefits of switching from gas-powered to electric leaf blowers. The trainings were well received, with 75 participants. In addition to expert presenters, the trainings featured a demonstration event with multiple equipment dealers and manufactures so attendees could try out equipment for themselves. The trainings and funds to reimburse landscapers for their purchase of electric leaf blowers are made possible by a grant from the Portland Clean Energy Benefits Fund (PCEF). There will be several additional trainings offered over the next 3 years. The next training is tentatively scheduled for September 18th, 2026.

The only good leaf blower.
