Dear Friends,
With very heavy hearts, we must share the news that our long-time Sexton Norma Cardenas died yesterday, after serving us for more than 15 years.  Norma's faith, loving spirit and dedication inspired us all. She loved serving St. Margaret's and all of you. That love infused her work, which she continued to perform until it was simply impossible.

Upon hearing the news, Music Director John Wright, said, "Norma was one of the best people I have ever known. Such a wonderful person in every way.  ... so many great qualities ... Rest in peace dear sweet lady."

She will be greatly missed.

Norma leaves behind four children and thirteen grand-children, some of whom are shown with her above.  You may send condolences to the family c/o her daughter Rosie at   53105 Avenida Obregon,  La Quinta, CA 92253-3441. The family is discussing how to appropriately celebrate Norma's life.  In the meantime, we plan to dedicate Sunday's Virtual Coffee Hour to sharing fond memories.  Click here at 11 a.m. to participate.

Almighty God, we remember before you today your faithful servant Norma; and we pray that, having opened to her the gates of larger life, you will receive her more and more into your joyful service, that, with all who have faithfully served you in the past, she may share in the eternal victory of Jesus Christ our Lord;  who lives and reigns with you, i n the unity of the Holy Spirit,  one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Faithfully yours,
