Issue 22
Dear Fisher Families,

I hope this cold snap of weather finds you warm and comfortable. This deluge of rain brings much needed water to us, and we hope will not too greatly impact those in the mountains that could be affected by slides. Please be safe and careful!

We are so excited to be welcoming our Roomer 6th graders back to campus! With the county metrics within the safe range, our Cohort A 6th graders will start on Monday! Please see information specific to this topic later in the Flyer.

Thank you for your continued support and flexibility. We are grateful.

Take care and stay well.

Mary Lonhart
Dear LGUSD Families,

Based on the updated guidance from Governor Newsom and the State of California, Team LGUSD has updated our projected return dates for our 6th grade students. The adjusted case rates for Covid-19 are reported every Tuesday. If the projected return dates are altered again, we will provide you advance notice.

GRADE 6 ONLY Return Date
Cohort A: February 1
Cohort B: February 8

Additionally, students who are projected to be “Roomers” are encouraged to participate in the next COVID Testing dates. Please mark your calendars now!

If you have already registered your student for Covid Testing at Fisher, you do not need to register again.

If you have not registered on line, please complete the following steps:
  1. Go to this link and complete the registration: https://curative.com/sites/17365/walkup#9/37.2342/-121.9662
  2. Complete this LGUSD Testing Authorization Form

Next COVID Testing Dates
Cohort A: January 27
Cohort B: February 3

Testing Schedule is as follows:
  • 11:15-11:45 Last Names A-C
  • 11:45 - 12:15 Last Names D-G
  • 12:15 - 12:45 Last Names H-K
  • 12:45 - 1:15 Last Names L-O
  • 1:15 - 1:45 Last Names P-S
  • 1:45 - 2:15 Last Names T-V
  • 2:15 - 2:45 Last Names W-Z

Based on the updated guidance from our county regarding 7th-12th grades, the adjusted case rate must be 7 cases per 100,000 individuals or less in order to return in-person. While we are anxious to have all of our Trojans back on campus, we appreciate your understanding as we continue to abide by the county and state guidance.

For students not currently planned to return as a Roomer, the next Fisher “on-ramp” dates are March 10 and April 19. As these dates approach, you will be notified of your option to change your student from a Zoomer to a Roomer. Please contact Principal Mary Lonhart with any questions (mlonhart@lgusd.org). Thank you.

In Safety and Education Together,
Please note the MINOR schedule change, effective 2.1.21. This longer lunch period allows for 6th grade student travel time during the lunch period.
