Issue 38
Dear Fisher Families,

Welcome to summer! It is hard to believe that this year is coming to a close. It seems that it was both the longest and shortest school year ever. With all the changes and challenges, your patience, support and kindness are greatly appreciated.

I am grateful to be a part of the Fisher family and the Los Gatos Union School District. I have been graciously welcomed in by all and feel supported and included. Knowing that our year will start in August with a full and robust schedule is very exciting and wonderful.

A few of our staff members will be moving on and we wish them well. I would like to especially thank Señora Grace Donatelli Sordo. She is retiring from a long, successful career in education. She has been an integral part of the Fisher family and will be missed. We wish her well in her retirement.

I hope each of you has a wonderful and restful summer. We look forward to a great year, starting on August 12th with Camp Trojan for all! It will be a fun reset to the school year and start us on a path for success.

Take care and stay well.

Mary Lonhart, Principal
Greetings Fisher Families!

The Fisher Physical Education department is excited to announce that we can now offer pre-order using credit cards for your physical education uniform needs. We have a webstore that will be open all summer and close on Monday, August 9th, so orders can be filled and ready. After August 9th, only cash or checks will be accepted. The webstore is set to have pick-up as your only option. We will fill the orders here on-site at Fisher. All orders will be ready for pick up the first weeks of school in August (more info to come). We will continue to have onsite orders and purchases, but this will be CASH or CHECK only. Due to the large number of students needing to purchase physical education uniforms, we want to help speed up the process for all.

When ordering you will receive a confirmation email that you will show upon pick up. As the dates come closer more information will be available.

Required for Physical Education:
  • Shirt
  • Shorts or optional Leggings
  • Special combo lock has to be V606 (we have used locks onsite on a first come first serve basis)

There are sizing charts on the website for reference. Kids will grow over the summer so order a little larger than they are now. You can always exchange clothing as long as it is not worn or written on.

Any families needing financial assistance please contact Melissa Weiss, Physical Education Department Chairperson OR your student’s PE teacher.

Visit our webstore via the link below to purchase your student's supplies now.
Looking for help as we return to
full in-session classes next fall!

We would appreciate help from Parent Volunteers to organize, prepare, and sell our PE materials for the 2021-22 school year (in person education requires the Fisher PE uniform). There is a range of shifts on August 10th-11th and August 16th-20th. Please visit the link below to help us get these PE items out to our students.

Who: Our 8th grade graduates and 4 guests per graduate
When: Thursday, June 3 from 5-6pm
Where: Los Gatos High School Football Stadium

An important reminder: Please agree upon a family meeting spot OUTSIDE of the stadium for after the ceremony. Students will be formally exiting the stadium at the close of the ceremony and will not be allowed back inside.
8th grade Chromebooks will be de-provisioned (unenrolled from LUGSD management) at 3 pm on June 3rd. Students will still have access to LGUSD email and Google Drive account until June 18th. Please plan to transfer any of your school files by that date.
For 8th graders attending Summer School, Chromebooks will be de-provisioned on July 2nd and accounts will remain active until July 16th. Please contact chromebooks@lgusd.org with any questions.

Chromebook Donations
Fisher collects and repurposes old Chromebooks that students are no longer using. Some donations will be used on Fisher's campus and some will be donated to underserved schools in need of working devices. Graduating 8th graders who want to donate their Chromebooks can turn them in on the last day of school.
Thanks to all of the students who continued with music during a very difficult year. Fisher shared their virtual music concert last night and we are all proud of what they achieved. Special thanks to Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Krijnen, and Mr. Miller for making these concerts possible!

Instrument drop-off
If your Fisher student used a District instrument this year we will collect them on Thursday, June 3rd 1-2pm (Collection at Fisher Middle School's Roberts Rd. side of campus at the drive thru). We will collect instruments, stands, and any music folders from this year.
