I hope you all enjoyed a lovely week off. I was grateful to spend quality, quiet time with my immediate family. I hope each of you found time to relax and rejuvenate as well.

Enclosed in today’s Flyer are dates and times for upcoming Principal Chats regarding the LGUSD Re-opening. I hope you can join us for one of these informational sessions. Also, please be sure to complete the Google form to indicate your family’s plans for your child/ren. This form must be completed by December 7 at 9am.

Parenting Continuum is hosting a 90-minute workshop with Common Sense Education and Project Cornerstone on tips and techniques to prepare our children for tomorrow's headlines. You will leave this highly interactive session with:

  • Strategies for better communication with your family using the research-based Developmental Assets framework to help children and teens gain skills needed to make good choices, take responsibility and become independent and fulfilled adults. The Fisher Library is now offering "Activities to Go" kits!

Take a break from screens and try a new craft with all the materials you need. December's craft is a Snow Globe Card (picture included!).

Library books and Activity Kits are available for pickup every Wednesday afternoon from 2-3 pm and Friday mornings from 8-9 am in front of the Fisher main office. Books and kits must be requested in advance. Browse the Alexandria catalog, then put your choices on hold. You will get an email notification (usually within 24 hours) that your books and/or activity kit is ready for curbside pickup. Here are a few links that can help you borrow books from our library.

Don't miss your chance to purchase the historic 2020-2021 yearbook! This is the first yearbook that will be created with help from the ENTIRE student body. Not only that, but this book will also document a time in our history that will not be forgotten for generations to come.

Please contact Fisher Attendance for any of the following reasons during remote learning:

  • Your student cannot log into class — email the teacher and Fisher Attendance immediately. 
  • Your student was delayed logging into class.
  • Your student is absent, at an appointment, or leaving class early.

Be sure to provide the student’s full name and reason that s/he is absent or leaving class early. This will help us accurately track attendance. 

Please note: After 72 hours, any absence that has not been confirmed by a parent will be considered an unexcused absence.
