As another semester comes to an end, it’s time to look back and reflect. The month of November was brimming with various research and innovation activities on “The Hill!”
In this season of gratitude, we thank all our partners and sponsors for supporting our faculty and students’ scholarly activities at Prairie View A&M University.
Our partnership with Shell on Nature Based Solutions met. Faculty and student researchers were able to showcase and give updates on their research projects. We are elated about our recently established partnership with Princeton University on a new PACRI initiative. The Texas Land Grant Day Conference, a partnership initiative between Texas A&M University and PVAMU was held at the Texas A&M campus in College Station, TX — giving research communities from both institutions a valuable opportunity for networking and collaboration.
I am equally honored and humbled to have been elected to the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) Council on Research (COR) Executive Committee to provide leadership, representation, and advocacy.
We appreciated the leaders and various stakeholders of the research compliance governance for their contributions this week. Rounding out the month of November, the Research and Innovation staff members held a Thanksgiving luncheon to share our appreciation and gratitude. Additionally, several faculty received sponsored grants and contracts. Be sure to read about their amazing accomplishments in this month’s newsletter. We’re all looking forward to the cording ceremony honoring the fall research scholars on December 08 — mark your calendars.
Thank you once again for your commitment and invaluable contributions toward helping the Division of Research and Innovation reach its full potential.
With gratitude,
- Magesh Rajan, Ph.D., P.E., MBA
