Fully Reopening Economy Today, June 15

No more physical distancing, no more capacity limits on businesses, no more county tiers, and relaxed mask guidance.

On Friday, June 11, 2021, Governor Newsom signed an executive order that will end the stay-at-home order, capacity limits, and physical distancing requirements for businesses.

Effective today, June 15, 2021, the public health officer has issued a new public health order superseding all prior health orders and new guidance on masks, and will end the Travel Advisory.

Masks are not required for fully vaccinated individuals, except in the following settings where masks are required for everyone, regardless of vaccination status:


Additionally, masks are required for unvaccinated individuals in indoor public settings and businesses (examples: retail, restaurants, theaters, family entertainment centers, meetings, state and local government offices serving the public).
The new order has limited restrictions related to
masking and mega-events:

The tournament has announced that the 2021 event will be played in October.
Exact tournament dates will be announced soon.
The BNP Paribas Open intends to allow patrons on site for the event and anticipates ticket, suite and hotel packages to be on sale starting June 21. The tournament will enforce all protocols to ensure the safety of players, fans and officials.
