Riverside County moves into less-restrictive red tier, allowing indoor dining and loosening other restrictions by Wednesday, March 17, 2021
More Riverside County businesses can reopen according to the state's Blueprint for a Safer Economy website, allowing indoor dining with limited capacity. Red Tier status goes into effect tomorrow, March 17th in Riverside County.
Moving into the Red Tier also allows places of worship, movie theaters, museums, zoos, aquariums, and gyms to reopen indoors with specific capacity limitations.

More breweries, wineries and distilleries to reopen outdoors & Outdoor entertainment, sports with spectators may resume in Riverside County
|

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) announced this week that breweries, wineries and distilleries that do not serve meals may now reopen outdoors in the purple and red tiers of the state’s reopening framework.
|

Starting April 1, live outdoor events may resume in Riverside County with limited spectators, including outdoor sporting events and live performances based on new state guidance.
|

Riverside County Health Officials Expand Vaccine Eligibility
to Those With Underlying Health Illness
|
|
|
Those 16 to 64 years old with certain underlying health conditions will now be able to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as Riverside County health officials expand the eligibility criteria, effective today. With hundreds of thousands of residents newly eligible for vaccine, county officials remind the community that supply of vaccine continues to be limited.

More Occupations Added to Vaccine Eligibility List
The list of occupations that now qualify to be vaccinated has expanded to include janitors, couriers who handle vaccine supplies and emergency supplies, massage therapists, those who work in foster care, utility workers, social workers, homeless shelter workers, library staff and public transit workers.

Riverside County, Lift to Rise, and Inland SoCal United Way, Announce Applications for Next Round of United Lift Rental Assistance
In response to the negative economic impacts the pandemic has caused our communities, United Lift––a joint effort by Lift to Rise, Inland SoCal United Way, and the County of Riverside––announced that new rental assistance resources are now available to keep Riverside County families housed.
Applications for the next round of United Lift rental assistance is available now and will continue until funds are depleted, or until December 31, 2021, whichever happens first.

NEW Arts & Cultural Relief Grant Program
|
|
|
A portion of the California Small Business Covid-19 Relief Grant Program package has been allocated to nonprofit cultural institutions. The Arts and Cultural Program will support California eligible nonprofit cultural institutions defined as registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit entities that satisfy the criteria for a qualified small business, but with no limitation on annual gross revenue.
Application process opens today, March 16, 2021 and closes on Tuesday, March 23, 2021.

FIRST MAJOR OF 2021 CELEBRATES 50TH ANNIVERSARY

The 50th edition of the ANA Inspiration will take place April 1 – 4, 2021 at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage.
As with last year’s tournament, this special 50th Anniversary edition will be going ahead without spectators due to Covid-19 related restrictions but fans will be able to watch the ANA Inspiration around the world, including on Golf Channel and Sky Sports, and follow along for enhanced content on social media @ANAinspiration and on the tournament website at ANAinspiration.com.

Announces New Chief Executive Director

The Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert (CDMoD) is pleased to announce that Cindy Burreson (pictured left) will be transitioning from part-time Interim Executive Director to full-time Chief Executive Officer of the organization, effective March 15, 2021. Burreson will lead the 30-year-old nonprofit as it initiates a comprehensive overhaul of exhibits and programming to serve families in the Coachella Valley, working towards a revitalized museum experience and safe reopening in 2022.
