This Saturday marks the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks on our country. On this day, we ask that you take a moment to honor the heroic acts associated with that tragic day and the courage of those who sacrificed their lives to save others.

To the victims, the survivors and their families, we will never forget!

Let's Talk Trash: Recycle Right
Do you ever wonder if an item belongs in your trash or recycling bin? Often, in our efforts to be greener, we place items in our recycling cart that don’t belong, and this causes contamination. Let's all do our part and recycle right! Here are some helpful tips to help you decide what should go where:
No Tanglers
Old garden hoses, ropes, wire hangers, holiday lights or stringy items all belong in the trash.
No Plastic Bags
Don’t bag your recyclables – keep them loose and free! Return clean, dry plastic bags to a local retailer or grocery store.
No Clothing/Textiles
Please use a donation program for items in good condition, unusable items belong in the trash.
No Hazardous Materials
Items such as batteries and chemicals are not part of our curbside recycling program. These items are dangerous and cause fires. Please call Burrtec to schedule your HHW pick up – it is free for Rancho Mirage Residents!
Help us Recycle Right in Rancho Mirage by Recycling the Items Below:
Burrtec will be providing all residents with the state required (SB 1383) curbside organic waste bins soon! Stay tuned as more details on scheduling and program information will be coming over the next few months. Thank you for your patience.
