LEADERSHIP & GOVERNANCE

Building Leaders in the Age of AI

Leadership remains deeply human. AI cannot set aspirations, make tough calls, build trust, or generate breakthrough ideas. McKinsey research suggests that leaders shift from command-and-control to creating context, focusing on three irreplaceable areas: setting aspirations and engaging others, demonstrating judgment while aligning choices to values, and designing for better outcomes over incremental gains. To develop this leadership pipeline, organizations must identify high potential employees and cultivate core leadership qualities such as wisdom, empathy, and trust.

Advisory That Matters: Why Relationships Are the Work

Advisory programs succeed when schools move past four myths: that advisory is merely check-ins, requires natural talent, focuses only on SEL, or stays static across ages. A strong advisory rests on four pillars: clear purpose, relationships first, consistent structure, and supported advisors. Bridget Johnson, founder of The Dean’s Roundtable, partners with Trey Education to show how schools that invest in clarity and adult support can strengthen belonging and engagement while fostering connections that students will remember.

Rather than treating AI literacy as a standalone outcome, this approach supports the gradual and intentional use of AI to think, learn, reflect, and improve.

From parking and facilities to fan behavior, every element can shape a prospective family’s perceptions and can generate inquiries or prevent applications. Athletic events provide a natural recruitment approach where an enjoyable experience does not guarantee an applicant, but a negative one certainly may prevent it.
