Join us this year for a three-part professional development cohort designed to empower grades 4-12 social studies educators to revolutionize their practice by placing historical thinking skills and student inquiry at the center of learning. Teachers will explore how to effectively integrate primary sources from the Library of Congress with research-based instructional strategies that develop disciplinary literacy and writing skills. Drawing from expert resources, participants will learn to guide students from initial curiosity through evidence analysis to informed historical judgment. By the series' conclusion, educators will have practical tools and strategies to create engaging, inquiry-driven classrooms where students think, read, and write like historians. This cohort transforms social studies from passive content consumption to active historical investigation and critical thinking.
