We are wheels up and a few shows in to our tour over the next few weeks. Check out to see if we're in your zone. Beneficiaries are food banks and agencies working with the homeless and those in recovery. Joining me are Kristian Alexandrov, Shannon Gaye, Beverley Mahood and Tom McKillip.

One of our new campaigns is engaging people to write a message for our box of hope that we will share at concert locations and on our web site. What is your action of hope? What would you say or do to bring joy to a loved one or a stranger? Follow the links and spread some inspiration to others and read a couple here:
"Write your name in kindness. Love and mercy on the hearts of the people you come in contact with and you will never be forgotten. You shall pass through this world but once, any kindness you can do... do it now for you may not pass this way again." ~ Alice Isobel Dyck, Camrose, AB
"True happiness is love expressed in service. Service brings about blessings to those who give and those that receive. This will bring about peace." ~ John Scott, Lloydminster, SK

September and October were filled with travel - Waterloo (Sing Fires of Justice Festival), Toronto (We Day), Winnipeg (Red Cross) and North Bay, ON filming for the third season of "Cardinal".

People in need, and our response to it is season-less.  As we enter this magical month of giving - remember to look behind you occasionally and see if someone could use your help.
Here's an excerpt from the column I was asked to write for the Calgary Herald's Christmas Fund: I have believed for many years now that the gift is in the giving. That said, times are tough for some and gifts can be pricey, but Christmas is meant to be worshipped in more than the store. Sometimes we forget that we have already received gifts that are precious because we already have them. Call those friends, Mothers, Fathers, brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren. These gifts are priceless! How about peace? How about those that would give everything they have just to have a chance to live where we live?
