Maintaining Physical Distancing

It is critical to maintain physical distancing during this uncertain time. This means remaining out of congregate settings, avoiding mass gatherings, and maintaining distance (approximately 6 feet or 2 meters) from others when you do have to leave your home.
Within the next few weeks it is estimated that Illinois will reach the peak of COVID-19 infections. To help flatten the curve (reduce the number of people who will be exposed to this illness) remember 5 steps.

  1. HANDS: Wash them often
  2. ELBOW: Cough into it
  3. FACE: Don't touch it
  4. SPACE: Keep safe distance
  5. HOME: Stay if you can

Keep in mind that physical distance is the key to helping reduce the spread of COVID-19. It is important to be social and connect to your support system through video chats, phone calls, or event text. Technology has provided a multitude of ways to connect while observing Stay Home orders issued by Gov. Pritzker.
