Now is the time to email YOUR members of the House of Representatives asking for their support of NF research for fiscal year 2020.

Support the House Dear Colleague letter! To help express our desire for federal funds for NF research Congressman Glenn Grothman (R-WI) and Congressman Collin Peterson (D-MN) are circulating a Dear colleague letter seeking support for NF research in fiscal year 2020. The first letter requests $15 million for the Army's NF Research Program in the Defense Appropriations bill. The second letter requests inclusion of report language on NF research at the National Institutes of Health in the Labor Health and Human Services Appropriations bill.

It just takes two minutes to encourage YOUR Congressional members to add their name to these letters by the March 25th deadline.

Post this request on your social media pages and "ask" your friends and family to write their representatives, too!

Dear NF Friends:

Last month the NF Network Advocacy team traveled to Capitol Hill to speak for ALL of us on the importance of congressional funding for NF research. NF Advocates walked from office to office educating over 250 congressional offices about the importance of federal funding for NF research . Their mission was to encourage signatures in support of critical NF Research funding.

T hat Hill visit was just the beginning. Now each of us (including friends and family) need to be NF Advocates and ask congress for $15 million in the FY20 Department of Defense Appropriations bill and to continue to invest in NF research through the National Institutes of Health. Reach out to our Representatives to:

Show them that there are many voters affected by NF and. . .
request that they sign the Dear Colleague letter now being circulated in both House and Senate.

The DEADLINE is MARCH 25th . If you've done this before, you know how easy it is . The letter is already written; you will just need to sign with your full name and mailing address. The system identifies your representatives from your address, so you don't even need to know their names.

Lastly, it is possible to edit the letter to include YOUR story. Instructions for doing that are included with the letter.

Again, let's be that squeaky wheel that gets attention for NF!
