May SBA Food Drive
  • Historically we have collected an offering and physical food for the Daily Bread Shoppe of the Shelby Baptist Association (tote bags).
  • This year we will move ahead with this special offering but in a modified way. In lieu of purchasing groceries and RBC collecting them, we will instead collect monetary donations.
  • This will serve two purposes: 1) It will promote the well being of our congregation by not requiring additional physical shopping and collection/distribution of food; 2) It will allow for greater stewardship of the dollars we collect as the SBA is able to buy food in bulk at a better price at some of the food banks. Eventually, a portion of the food purchased with this offering will come back to RBC’s food pantry ministry.
Please estimate what you would normally contribute in food purchases for this effort and then donate that amount either by check mailed to the church office or online (choose "benevolence"). If you have any question please contact Chase .
