May 23, 2023

VBS 2023 is quickly approaching and will take place from 6/19-6/23. We still need volunteers, so please email Camille at camille@rbcstaff.com if you are willing to serve. Also, registration for VBS is now open here! (The sooner, the better so we know how many supplies to order!!) We hope to see everyone there.

We encourage everyone to complete a skills & interests form for the 2023-2024 church year. This will help us to determine where you would most enjoy serving at RBC! You can find an online form here, or hard copies are available in the foyer.

We are excited to announce that Dr. Paul House of Beeson Divinity School will be joining us as our retreat guest speaker, and Justin Cross will be leading worship. You don't want to miss this! Sign up here for the 2023 RBC Churchwide Retreat by 6/25!

See the tentative retreat schedule here! Confirmed times will be posted in July.

1. James 5: 17–18 NASB “Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. Then he prayed again, and the sky poured rain and the earth produced its fruit.” Father God, we desire to know Your will and to pray with faith like Elijah’s. Would You teach us to faithfully obey You while praying boldly? Increase our faith and help us to stand for righteousness.

2.  2 Corinthians 4: 6 NASB “For God, who said, ‘Light shall shine out of darkness,’ is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.” Father God, what a confidence to know that You shine Your Light, Jesus, into our hearts even as we live surrounded by the darkness of our fallen world and our own sinfulness. The knowledge of Your glory is revealed to us as we look to Jesus while the Holy Spirit helps us to walk in His Light. Jesus, shine in our lives!
