1. Acts 2: 22-24 NASB “Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know—this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death. But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power.” Father God, we are in awe of Your majesty. From the beginning, Your plan was that Jesus would live a sinless life, suffer the weight of our sinful world and then die and rise again. This was His plan to provide a way of salvation for man. In spite of the miracles, wonders and signs which You performed through Jesus, we misunderstood His perfection. Thank You Father that our lack of understanding and sinfulness did not disqualify us from receiving Your saving grace.
2. 2 Timothy 2: 2 NASB “The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” Father God, just as Timothy was encouraged to teach others who are full of faith, would You bless those who today are being taught Your word and those who are teaching. Bless and empower those who teach Your word to do so with accuracy and zeal. Lord God, pour Your Spirit out among our children, youth and adults. Cause Your word to burn in our hearts with great intensity, passion and power.
