A Note From Our Children's Minister

RBC Parents,

If you haven't already, please remember to pick up an advent devotional kit for your family (for families with children ages 2+). These are available on the welcome desk downstairs and are labeled for each family.

Also, the Christmas season is quickly approaching! Preparations are already underway for the yearly Living Nativity! Living Nativity will be Sunday, December 11th at 6pm. Kids are encouraged to participate as angels or shepherds. We will have rehearsal at 4:30pm on Sunday, December 11th before feeding the kids and getting them in costume. Dinner and costumes are provided. Kids just need to decide whether they will be a shepherd or an angel. If they want to be an angel, they need to come dressed in white. We hope you and your family will join us for this tradition. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at camille@rbcstaff.com.

Christmas Cantata Important Dates:

-Performance and reception will be held on 12/4 beginning at 6:00 PM

-The performance will be immediately followed by a sweet & salty reception. Please bring either a sweet or salty snack to share!

1. Colossians 3: 17 “Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.”  NASB Father God, as we approach Thanksgiving this year our hearts are full of gratitude to You. To think that all we do or say carries the name of Jesus because we belong to Him is a very sobering thought. Father, help us to show our gratitude by seeking to honor You with all our words and actions. Help us to be diligent especially among those who know us best, our families.

2. James 5: 13 “Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises.”  NASB Father, how good You are to invite us to come before You when we suffer. You even prompt us to sing Your praises as we experience joy. Thank You for bringing balance into our lives as we obey Your word.
