Member Note

Dear RBC family,

We are thankful to the Lord and to UAB for our recent successful kidney transplant and donor surgeries. And we are thankful to our church family for surrounding us with care and support. We appreciate all the prayers, calls, texts, emails, cards, visits, food (so much food!), rides, and just knowing that we can call on our RBC friends if we need anything. You are living out John 13:35: “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Love,

Jeff and Sherry

Prayer Points:

1. 1 Chron. 16: 8 “Oh give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples.”  Father, You give us strong instruction to make Your ways known. Would You help us to do that especially within our families?

 2. James 2:26 “For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.” Lord, the world cries out for men and women of integrity in business, education, government, manufacturing, law enforcement, medicine and farming. May we who bear the title of belonging to You do so with careful attention to how we do our work and live our lives.

3. Proverbs 29: 18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Father, would You remind us to pray and fast for our nation? Would You provide encouragers to tell how You have answered their prayers in the past? Lord, keep us awake when we are tempted to sleep rather than pray.
