Special Guest Speakers!

Join us on Wednesday, September 17th to hear from former missionaries to Tanzania Brad and Allison Haynes. The Haynes have a long time relationship with RBC and will be sharing about their time in Tanzania and the spiritual and economic climate in the country. Brad is the VP of Operations at Baba Java Coffee and he will also share how businesses like Baba Java stimulate the economy and missions in countries like Tanzania.

Throughout the month of September, we will be collecting our annual offering for state missions. This year our goal is to reach $5,000. We ask that you consider contributing and designate whether those funds will go to Alabama CBF or the Alabama State Board of Missions.

Any undesignated funds will be split evenly between those two organizations. If you would like to give online, you can do so here. Also, please join us for the Week of Prayer for State Missions September 7th-14th.

Serve During the Worship Hour!

We have multiple ways you can serve during the worship hour. We have opportunities to serve as greeters, ushers (passing the offering plate), and in the A/V booth.

Email office@rbcstaff.com for more information on any these service positions.

Wednesday Evening Activities have resumed! Make your dinner reservations for September using the links below.

Prayer focus from Romans 12:16

"Lord help us to be a people who experience and exemplify true harmony and unity. Help us to lay aside our pride and to humble ourselves before one another, putting one another and his or her needs above our own wants and desires."

2 Corinthians 8: 3-5  NASB  “For I testify that according to their ability, and beyond their ability, they gave of their own accord, begging us with much urging for the favor of participation in the support of the saints, and this, not as we had expected, but they first gave themselves to the Lord and to us by the will of God.”  Father God, these verses remind us of the great privilege of giving gifts to You and to others. Father, You have blessed us with freedom, material wealth and physical comfort. As stewards of such blessings help us to foster generous giving of ourselves, our time and our possessions. You tell us in other verses that You love to see our generosity.  Keep us from rigid legalism.

Matthew 12: 11-12  NASB  “And He said to them, ‘What man is there among you who has a sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out? How much more valuable then is a man than a sheep! So, then, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.’” Father God, teach us Your ways. In our attempt to honor Your word, guide us in the use of our Sabbath rest. Again, keep us from legalism while urging us forward in compassion toward others.
