Free, One-Day Event For Senior Adults!

October 11, 2022 from 9am - 3pm at Hunter Street Baptist Church

Sit and Get Fit is a seated exercise class ideal for seniors, anyone with mobility issues, recovering from injury or surgery or just wanting to get more active. Anyone can do it and all you need is a set of light weights! Classes last 30 to 40 minutes and cost is just $5 per class.  We meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00AM in the Riverchase Baptist Fellowship hall.  

We are excited to have Rebecca Henderson, LICSW joining us on October 9th. She will be leading a training on recognizing & responding to abuse as a congregation. All staff and volunteers working with children are highly encouraged to attend! The training will take place immediately following the worship service. Lunch will be provided but reservations are required. Please RSVP to this event by emailing [email protected].

Christmas Cantata Important Dates:

-Performance and reception will be held on 12/4 beginning at 6:00 PM

-Rehearsals will take place on Sundays from 8:45 - 9:15 AM starting on 9/25 until the performance

Prayer Points:

1. Psalm 34: 18 “The Lord, is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” Father, we lift before you those living in Pakistan who are affected by the storms and flooding. For those living in America who are dealing with storms, flooding, earth quakes  and drought we ask that You provide safety and encouragement. Would you show Yourself strong and mighty before those who do not know You? Please provide comfort for those families who are grieving from the loss of their loved ones and property.

2. Romans 12:12 “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” Father God, help us to follow this scripture in all the circumstances in which we find ourselves. Thank You for Your provision for our security and peace. Help us to follow Your instruction to rejoice in hope, having faithful patience during difficult times and to bring everything before You in prayer.



3. 2 Corinthians 9: 7 “God loves a cheerful giver.” Heavenly Father, as we consider our gift for the Myers-Mallory Offering for State Missions we seek Your guidance. Help us to give sacrificially and joyfully.
