Bitterroot Gives
Thank you to our Bitterroot Gives donors! We raised a total of $1,210 including a $500 match from Northwestern Energy! This money goes into the Ravalli County 4-H Advisory Council general fund for use towards county programming.
4-H Camp Registration
Camp dates: July 12-16 
Camp location: Darrell Fenner 4-H Camp Loon Lake Bigfork, MT 
Registrations due: June 23
Price: $115 4-H members
$145 non-4-H members 
Camp is for youth ages 8-12 both 4-Hers and non-4-Hers so spread the word! This year’s camp will be full of fun learning experiences, making new friendships and memories. 
We are looking for chaperones. Contact the Extension office for more information.

Limited to 10 participants but all are encouraged to audit. 
Fair Patterns
Three patterns per discipline/level are posted. The fair judges will then choose one of the pre-posted patterns for each of the fair classes.

Weekly Riding & Instructions Project Meetings

When: Every Tuesday evenings 6:30 starting in June
Where: Ravalli County Fairgrounds pm in the North Arena. 
Horse committee will work at scheduling mini clinics and take requests for needed assistance.

Hippology Study Nights
Do you love learning about horses? Join the Hippology study nights to challenge your knowledge in a fun way!
Dates: June 1 at 6:30 pm, July TBD
Where: Never Sweat Ranch 1025 US Hwy 93 S. Hamilton, MT 59840.

(the Sunday before fair rather than the Monday before fair). 
Congress 
When: July 12-16
Where: MSU Bozeman
Cost: $210 (+ $32 for parking for the 4 days)
Registration: Due June 18
How to Register: Login to your zsuites account. Select the primary account. Enter the PIN. Go to the “events” tab on the left side navigation bar. Select “register now” in the congress event. Select “register” for the youth or volunteer that wishes to attend. Fill out all required fields along with confirming your medical, code of conduct, and media forms. Call the Extension office for payment details. 
 
This state event is available to youth ages 14+. Take advantage of this opportunity to meet other 4-Hers from across the state and participate in hands-on learning workshops! 
This year’s theme “4-H Camp Congress” will offer lots of time to socialize with friends old and new, hands on outdoor activities for learning new skills and ideas, and time for small group activities you may have seen at 4-H camp. Congress participants will get a taste of college life eating meals in Miller Dining Hall, visiting several campus buildings and classrooms, and staying in the Yellowstone dorm on the south west side of campus.

Meritorious Service Award

Each year the Ravalli County 4H program recognizes individuals, businesses, or organizations, who have exhibited consistent and strong support of the 4H program. “Giving” relates to time, energy, leadership and/or support provided to enhance the educational mission of 4H.

The nominees may or may not be 4H leaders, teen members or volunteers. Recipients will be awarded during the Livestock Sale at the Ravalli County Fair.

If you have a nomination of someone you think should receive this award, please provide the name of the proposed recipient with explanation of their service to 4H accompanied with your name and contact information. The 4H Advisory Council will consider all nominations.

Nominations are due to MSU/Ravalli County Extension Office by scheduled July 4H Advisory Council Meeting.
