Chris Bollengier Wins Day!
Feb. 27
As you all read in Joe Berkeley's amazing article...Chris edged out Christine in a duel of the true frostbiters! On a cold and nasty day they duked it out!
Kudos to the RC also! Moose, Kelly, and Marina froze their own digits off keeping track of the fleet for 6 amazing races.

RC between Feb 6 and April 10
The fleet celebrates Coach Moose McClintock's return to full time concentration on the fleet at the University of Rhode Island! Unfortunately, that means we loose the best race manager on the planet!
Organizationally, we need 6 volunteers to schedule a date over the next 6 Sundays to fill in for Moose. Many fleet members have already steeped forward but we ask that each person able to volunteer respond to this email. Please let us know what week you can take over.

Helly Hansen Jacket Raffle
The first winner of the Helly raffle was actually a great sailor but on the day of the raffle he was a RC rockstar! Congrats to Scott Vogei! The Race Committee is always included in any activity!!!
We are planning to raffle off a Helly Hooded Jacket each week for the rest of the season at IYAC.

Fleet Boats
Co-Fleet captain - Beaker, Scott Pakenham, manages the fleet owned boat program. It has been incredibly successful in getting savvy sailors and new-comers on the water. It takes a lot of effort to keep the boats rigged and ready. Thank you to Scott (and all the users) keeping the boats in order for all to use!

Sail Newport Facilities
As the smart sailors know, the building at the SW corner of the dinghy park is heated and has a loo. For a short time, the building is not available for use. Please use the new building if you need the rest rooms. As soon as the upgrades are complete Kim Hapgood will notify us and we will make it clear that the building is back in service.
