Friends of the RCA,

In recent years, the Church has been playing catch-up when it comes to racial justice, offering lip service instead of the action our communities need. With Beyond Words, we have an incredible opportunity to flip that script and become pioneers for a new way of being - a Kingdom way - seeking justice and living in beloved community with one another. Watch the video vignette below to learn more about the way God's Kingdom is coming!
We are so excited that the RCA has joined the work God is doing through Beyond Words! On March 25th at 7:00pmCT, we will be hosting a national on-boarding event via zoom for this new RCA-Beyond Words Cohort. You are invited to be a part of it! To join this momentous event, register below.
As a kind reminder, registering for the event does not automatically commit you to the movement. That will only occur after you have submitted your commitment card, indicating that you will take the next year to complete action steps toward racial justice in the five areas of strengthening relationships, cross-congregational education, preaching Biblical anti-racism, sharing financial resources, and organizing/mobilizing.

Part of the cohort commitment is to engage in those action steps with a church partner of a different race. We encourage you to begin identifying a church partner now so that on Thursday, March 25th you will be prepared for that relationship to be blessed and commissioned. However, you do not have to have a partner identified already to register.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Pastor Pete Watts, coordinator of the AABC within the RCA and liaison to Beyond Words. You can reach him at [email protected]

Sincerely,
