Erica McNamara, the RCASA Director since 2008, accepted a position at the University of Massachusetts Lowell as their new Program Director of Student Mental Health and Wellness. The Town of Reading is currently hiring for a full-time Director. During the transition, Erica McNamara will continue to support RCASA's efforts.
RCASA Honored In Washington D.C. for NATIONAL RECOVERY MONTH AWARD
Sherri VandenAkker, representing the Reading Coalition Against Substance Abuse (RCASA) Board of Directors, accepted the National Recovery Month Award in Washington, D.C. on September 6, 2018 for RCASA’s 2017 Reading Unites for Recovery Project. RCASA was one of three projects in the United States to receive this special recognition at the Recovery Month Luncheon: Invest in Health, Home, Purpose and Community.
