This year the guided boats sold out in 20 minutes!! That is a new record and we are looking forward to another very successful event in Port Aransas, TX.
Please note that if your company did not pay membership dues for 2014 you have been removed from our website and this will be your last RCAT eNews update. Please contact the RCAT office if you would like to pay your outstanding invoice over the phone. You may also pay on-line - see complete instructions on the bill or call us with any questions.
Booths are on sales now for the 39th Annual Conference & Trade Show. RCAT is back in San Antonio, TX again this year at the beautiful JW Marriott Hill Country Resort & Spa. Spaces are going quickly so be sure to visit the show information and registration site now. A current floor plan is available for viewing.
The Annie Born / Jan P Thomas Memorial Scholarship Fund is now accepting applications for this year. If your company is a member in good standing of RCAT (manufacturer, distributor, roof consultant, insurance, law firm, architect or roofing contractor) ALL employees of your company's children are eligible to apply for the scholarship fund when enrolled in college. This includes the counter salesman, the secretary, the roofing foreman, or anyone in any position within your firm. Applications are due by April 30, 2014!

ANNIE BORN / JAN P THOMAS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
RCAT ANNOUNCES THAT THE ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNTS HAVE BEEN INCREASED! Due to the generous donations made both privately and corporately the Scholarship Committee has determined the fund can now award three $5,000 scholarships! The application deadline is April 30, 2014
Who is Eligible for the Annie Born / Jan P. Thomas Memorial Scholarship Fund?
If your company is a member in good standing of RCAT (manufacturer, distributor, roof consultant, insurance, law firm, architect or roofing contractor) ALL employees of your company's children are eligible to apply for the scholarship fund when enrolled in college. This includes the counter salesman, the secretary, the roofing foreman, or anyone in any position within your firm.
AWARDS
Three (3) $5,000.00 scholarships to be awarded! The scholarship will be sent to the bursar of the college or university for disbursement where the recipient will do his or her undergraduate work.
ELIGIBILITY-Current RCAT members in good standing, owners, employees and their children. -Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident. -Must be at least a graduating high school senior. -Must be enrolled in college as a full-time student (carrying 12 hours or more). Practicing professionals, students pursuing second degrees or attending extended day, night school, part-time, special weekend or other non-traditional degree programs are not eligible.
REMINDER that all scholarship applications must be postmarked and sent return receipt certified mail by April 30, 2014. Please call the RCAT office at (512) 251-7690 for an application or more information.
TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW FOR THIS YEARS GOLD COIN RAFFLE!
The Annie Born / Jan P. Thomas Memorial Scholarship is funded solely by the sale of raffle tickets each year that net the winner � of the proceeds of the ticket sales payable in gold coins (approx $15,000)! Purchase a ticket today for the raffle held at the Annual Meeting each year; please know that this money is allocated 100% towards the Scholarship Program and is also tax deductible.
