The theme was perseverance in the keynote presentation with panelists Mark Harrison, CEO of Northern Texas PGA; Ronny Glanton, Head Golf Pro at Sherrill Park; and D.A. Weibring, Professional Golfer. Harrison shared how his vision for a community golf park grew into PGA of America Headquarters in Frisco. Glanton spoke of the City of Richardson's support in making Sherrill Park a standout public golf course. And Weibring realized his dream by earning a PGA card.

Both events will be moderated by Tracy Ruckel with Community Impact and are sponsored by Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP. The forums will include opening statements, moderated questions, and an opportunity for audience-submitted questions (as time allows).

Legislative Update

Treasury Narrows Scope Of Corporate Transparency Act

The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, a bureau of the Department of the Treasury, has recently adopted an interim final rule that narrows the scope of beneficial ownership information reporting requirements under the Corporate Transparency Act. This new regulation exempts “domestic reporting companies” from the BOI reporting requirements and extends deadlines for “foreign reporting companies.”
