Jose Contreras Jr., began his career as a business owner in 2021 when he became the owner of Mexico Lindo, a 65-year old family-owned restaurant located in the City of Racine. Through the years, Mexico Lindo continued its decades-long tradition of serving authentic, unchanged Mexican cuisine, with the addition of just one dish—mini burritos—solidifying its place as a beloved community staple. 

To help fund Mexico Lindo's expansion, Jose tapped into RCEDC's RLF programs.

Cala Newholm, founder and owner of Modern Aesthetics Skincare, opened her medical skincare clinic in February 2022 in the Village of Waterford. In 2014, Cala completed VICI Beauty School’s Licensed Esthetician program, while pursuing a Business Management program at Waukesha County Technical College.
