Meet the New Members of the RCMA Board of Directors
Chris Farrell, EPS
With 25 years of experience in chemical intermediates, working in commercial roles for global companies, ‎Chris is the Business Director for Industrial and Construction at Engineered Polymer Solutions (EPS). His ‎focus is on business development for products in the adhesives, construction, roofing, and industrial ‎coatings segments. ‎In addition to RCMA, Chris is a member of the Adhesives and Sealants Council ‎‎(ASC) and American Coatings Association (ACA). He has served in the past on the boards of directors of the ‎American Coatings Association, the Chicago Paints and Coatings Association, and the Wisconsin Paints and ‎Coatings Association.‎
Jeremy Grunewald, Tropical Roofing Products
Jeremy is a member of Tropical Roofing Products, a national manufacturer of fluid applied roof restoration ‎systems. Jeremy has held positions at Tropical as the Corporate R&D Manager as well as the ‎Regional Technical Services Manager and has recently relocated to Dallas, Texas to become a Sales ‎Manager for Tropical. ‎An ambitious and motivated leader within the industry, Jeremy was presented with the “Emerging Leader” ‎award by the Roof Coating Manufacturers Association in 2020 in Dallas, Texas, in conjunction with the ‎International Roofing Expo.
Chris Huettig, KARNAK
Chris Huettig is a coating specialist who works with contractors, building owners and design professionals ‎in understanding the uses, benefits and applications of roof coating systems. After spending nearly 26 ‎years in the roofing industry, Chris offers a combination of field experience and technical knowledge to ‎bring a unique perspective in offering liquid-applied roof solutions. Currently he is the National Director of ‎Technical Services for KARNAK. One of the benefits of this role is in working with stakeholders to ensure ‎they understand and have the necessary information to properly evaluate a coating project.
RCMA Committee Updates
Government Affairs Committee
The Government Affairs Committee continues preparatory work with our coalition regarding PCBTF anticipating action by SCAQMD in 2022/23. RCMA sent letters of congregations to the new Secretary of Energy and the Administrator of the EPA under the Biden Administration. The association hopes to engage with the new leadership at these key federal departments that greatly impact the coatings industry.
Technical Affairs Committee
The Technical Affairs Committee and its task groups continue to work with CRRC in further development on an improved definition for rough substrate and on reviewing industry related ASTM standards that are five years past their last revision date.

Roofing Coalition Completes First ‎Quarterly Market Index Survey for Reroofing
Nearly 500 respondents completed the eight-question survey during a two-week period in January with more than three-quarters of responses coming from contractors and the balance coming from roof consultants.
