RCPL CARES

Redwood City Public Library's mission is to cultivate community and advance equity by welcoming all people to experience the shared joys of literacy and learning. We value our diverse community, and we serve all members of the public equally regardless of immigration status. Mayor Gee recently issued statements in English and Spanish regarding the City’s approach to immigration policies.

If you know someone seeking help or to learn more about their rights, there are many valuable resources on the County of San Mateo Know Your Rights page and Rapid Response Hotline page.

PROJECT READ - GIVING THANKS

In the spirit of the season of giving, we'd love to share about Project READ's Thanksgiving tradition. Each year, two gracious Project READ volunteers donate funds to ensure all of our Project READ families have a happy, healthy and nourishing Thanksgiving dinner. This year, we purchased 160 turkeys and hams, tortillas, bread, eggs, corn, beans and green beans for sides, milk, eggs and fresh produce distributed these meals to 133 Project READ families. This is truly an act of community giving at its best.
