ROOTS OF CHANGE

Our tree-themed sustainability project, Roots of Change, connects library resources with efforts to improve long-term environmental and health outcomes in our community. The series will present a variety of access points to engage with sustainability concepts and empower all community members to know that their individual efforts are part of a collective action that will improve the environment for years to come.

UPCOMING EVENTS

FOR FAMILIES

FOR ADULTS

This project is supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian. Additional support provided by Friends of the Redwood City Public Library

STEAM at the Library

As part of our Roots of Change event series, join us for a new monthly MakerSpace program, STEAM at the Library. Each month Science from Scientists bring a new program exploring environmental and sustainability concepts for children ages 9-12. In October participants explore the role of decomposers, the flow of matter, and the cycle of energy in an ecosystem by dissecting a preserved earthworm.
