The Rochester City School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrea Lee as the Principal of Clara Barton School No. 2, effective July 5, 2022.  Ms. Lee is excited to return to the RCSD and join the Clara Barton School No. 2 community, as she currently serves as an Assistant Principal in the Buffalo Public Schools. She began her teaching career at Rochester Leadership Academy Charter School, and then later as a social studies teacher in the RCSD serving at Northwest College Prep, Vanguard Collegiate, and World of Inquiry School No. 58. During her time in the District, she also served as a social studies department chair and as a Lead Mentor Teacher. With a strong instructional background, she has coached and evaluated teachers, collaborating with other leaders to ensure their growth and support. While in Buffalo, she has helped to lead her school instructionally and operationally while developing strong community ties with families and others. She implemented and monitored supports for students and led initiatives to ensure systems for equity and inclusiveness.

Ms. Lee earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University at Buffalo, and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Educational Leadership from the SUNY College at Brockport.
