The Rochester City School District is pleased to announce that the Board of Education last evening approved the appointment of Rhonda Neal as Principal of Joseph C. Wilson Foundation Academy. She officially begins her duties as Principal on July 7, 2021.
Rhonda Neal previously served as an Assistant Principal at Joseph C. Wilson Foundation Academy, and she was a part of the initial planning for the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program. Returning to the RCSD from an Assistant Principal position in Buffalo Public Schools, she most recently served the District as Executive Director of CTE. She also has held several leadership positions in the District, including Vice Principal at East High School and Integrated Arts and Technology High School, Acting Executive Director of Teaching and Learning, Network Team Leader, and Assistant Principal at Mary McLeod Bethune School No. 45. Ms. Neal also served in the roles of Virtual Enterprise Coordinator and business teacher at Edison Tech. As a data-informed instructional leader, Ms. Neal will help sustain a strong family culture at Wilson Foundation Academy while helping to make a difference in the lives of students and their families. In addition to her experience in education, Ms. Neal spent 14 years in the business sector with Xerox Corporation and Electronic Data. Ms. Neal holds a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Xavier University, a master’s degree in business and marketing education from Nazareth College, and a master’s degree in educational administration from St. John Fisher College.
