RCSD Summer Learning Takeover
The Rochester City School District has teamed up with three of its community partners for an RCSD Takeover this summer! Tuesday through Thursday of this week, the District joined its summer learning partners from Skate Luvers Roller Palace, the Rochester Museum and Science Center, and the Strong National Museum of Play to offer fun summer experiences for Rochester families.

These free program opportunities for Rochester students were made possible due to collaboration with the RCSD, the City of Rochester, and the Rochester Public Library and Monroe County Library System.

Skate Luvers Roller Palace, the Rochester Museum and Science Center, and the Strong National Museum of Play have joined RCSD’s Summer Squad to tackle unfinished learning by providing families the opportunity to enjoy each facility free of charge. In two days, more than 900 RCSD stakeholders took part in reengaging with one another, igniting student interest in science, humanities, and more!

The RCSD offered targeted summer school programming at more than 20 different locations, for students in grades K – 12. There were multiple opportunities for students to attend various programs throughout the City of Rochester and Monroe County. This includes the Summer Meals Partnership of Rochester, which works year-round to ensure every child in the City of Rochester, 18 and under, has access to free, healthy meals all summer long.

The RCSD Takeover of the Strong National Museum of Play runs until 5 p.m. this evening.
