Nighttime Closures Continue

Nighttime single lane closures along eastbound and westbound SR-60 continue for the week of August 31, 2026. Crews will continue to safely install k-rail and screens, remove the median rumble strip, restripe lanes for the next construction stage, and perform median patching.

In observance of the Labor Day holiday, there will be no roadway closures from Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7.

Reminder: plan ahead, allow extra travel time, reduce your speed, and stay alert while traveling through the construction zone. Follow all posted signs and traffic control to help keep motorists and roadway crews safe.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC) and the City of Beaumont, in partnership with Caltrans, are constructing “Phase II” of the State Route 60/Potrero Boulevard Interchange Project. This phase will deliver major roadway and interchange improvements to improve traffic flow and access to and from SR-60, strengthening connections and regional mobility in Beaumont and across western Riverside County. 

Phase II includes the construction of a six-ramp partial cloverleaf interchange, the realignment of Western Knolls Avenue, and the widening of Potrero Boulevard to six lanes.
